Can I get a link to leave you a review?

We have been asked a lot if we had an easy link to give out so people could leave Disc Golf 978 a review. You asked and of course we listened. Here is the link to leave us a review on Google.

Did you lose a disc on one of our local courses?

Disc Golf 978 has taken on the lost and found for many local courses in the area. Some courses did not have a good drop off area or could not have set hours for someone to pick up their lost disc. 

We send a text to everyone when we get a disc in and we add them to Udisc. 

You may get a text from the finder of your disc but we will also text you when it arrives at the store. 

The store is open Monday through Friday 9am to 6pm and Saturday/Sunday from 8am to 5pm.

As many of you know, lost discs travel a lot. So even though you lost a disc at a certain course, there is a good chance it will turn up at another course.

We keep all discs for 3 months. If they are not picked up we either donate them to a school or other community program or sell them as a used discs. We donate the proceeds to the charity of the month. If you can not pick up the disc in the 3 months, just reach out to us and we will hold it longer for you.

Do you ship found discs from your lost and found?

Do you have a disc in one of the courses that we do the lost and found for but do not live in the area? 

As we all know, sometimes lost discs travel. Sometimes across the country. We have had several times when we text someone that their disc was found at XYZ course and they say they are from Colorado or some other far away state. They tell us that they have never even been to the Northeast! 

Well what are your options????????? 

We have several options for you. 

  1. Pay just $5.50 and we will ship it to you. You can go here to pay your shipping fee Lost and Found shipping fee

If you prefer PayPal, you can send $5.50 to paypal@discgolf978.com. Be sure to provide your phone number and address in the notes. 

  1. Check out www.discgolf978.comand if you purchase something, we can ship the disc with your order. Of course, we do free shipping on all orders over $40 and a flat fee of $5.50 for anything under $40.00. If your purchase is over $40 for free shipping, just put in the notes that you have a lost and found disc. Make sure you put the last 4 of the phone number so we can find it in the system. 
  1. Travel up here, play a round at a course near us and pick up your disc. At least you could bang out a couple of courses that maybe you would not have played. We are located at Meadowbrook Orchard Disc Golf Course which offers 2 layouts on the main course and a work in progress shorter course which is perfect for beginners!

How can I purchase a Gift Certificate without it going to the person right away?

Want to give a Gift Certificate as a surprise?

 

When you purchase a gift certificate here and you put the recipients email address, it will go to them right away. If you are looking to give a Disc Golf 978 gift certificate as a surprise, then we suggest the following.

 

Use the recipients name in the “Recipient’s Name” box but use your email address as the “Recipient’s Email”. This way the certificate will be sent to you. Now you can either print it out or send it to them via email when you are ready.

Return Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.). 

You should expect to receive your refund within a couple of weeks after giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days). 

If the ordered is canceled due to no fault of the shop, the order is subject to a 5% canceling restocking fee.

What is the Disc Swap Program?

Is your new disc from Disc Golf 978 just not working for you? Did you want to try the latest disc but are afraid that it won’t be a good fit? At Disc Golf 978, we have you covered. 

Here is how it works: 

If you buy a disc from Disc Golf 978, you have 14 days to exchange it for any reason with any other disc in the store of equal or lesser value. This is not a cash refund. You will love knowing that you can try out that disc that might exponentially improve your game without having to first ask “will this work for me?” All you’ll need is proof of purchase that you bought it within 14 days from Disc Golf 978. 

Are you ready for the fine print? Great because there is no fine print. (ok, we had to add some fine print, discs cannot be chewed up by a dog, lawn mower or other things that mutilates a disc.) 

This program helps not only the new disc golf players but the seasoned players as well. Just about everyone has either bought a disc that they thought was going to be the best disc and it just did not do what you thought it would, or were afraid to try that disc because you did not want to have another disc sit and collect dust. 

Again, the only thing that needs to be done is:

  • Proof of purchase from Disc Golf 978
  • Exchange it within 14 days of purchase

This program is for in-store purchases and web orders as well. Yes, you read that right, we are also allowing web/mail orders to take advantage of this program. When sending a disc back from a web order, you will need to pay for shipping.

 So now you will have full confidence in your purchase which gives you piece of mind!

What is the sticker on the back of the disc that looks like a price label (173.7)

We weigh every single disc. Our scale, like many stores, will measure to the .1 of a gram. Even though most manufactures weigh their discs, they are not always very accurate. 

In the picture you will see the small weight sticker that states 175, this is 175 grams from the manufacture. 

The larger label is the accrual weight that we came up with on our scale of 176.7 grams.

What is your International Shipping Policy?

At this point we do not offer International shipping.

What is your shipping policy?

All orders that are received before 11AM EST is processed and shipped the same day (excluding weekends and holidays). Depending on USPS on that day, if your order comes in after 11 EST but before they have picked up, we get it out that same day as well. You will receive your order confirmation email and a short time later you will receive another notification that your shipping label was printed. This does not mean that the package left our store just that the label was printed. USPS will pick up packages between 11:30 am to 1 pm EST. Once USPS picks up your package, they will scan it and you will start to see the journey of your discs to you.

Why does my tracking number say it was delivered at a different address months ago?

There are a couple of reasons that a USPS tracking number might reflect a "Delivered" status, even though you just generated a label or shipped the package. It could be either the USPS assigned a recycled tracking number to your shipment or the USPS scanned the shipment incorrectly. 

Recycled Tracking Number

To check if this is the case, look up the details of the tracking number. Usually, you will see a different destination and delivery time when compared to your label details. There may also be a note in the tracking information stating the label is "Archived."

This situation may happen because of the high volume of shipments sent through USPS. Tracking numbers get recycled on occasion. The solution to this issue is to wait until the Post Office scans the label, then the tracking information will update accordingly.

 USPS incorrect Scanning

If the tracking information has the correct address, then it is likely a clerical error on the part of the Post Office. If their scanner was set to "Delivered" instead of "Accepted" during the scan, it will update the tracking information with the Delivered status.

Unfortunately, this does mean that the tracking number will not update in subsequent scans of the label. However, a USPS customer service representative should be able to provide you with updates via their internal tracking database.
