Disc Golf 978 Monthly Charity Auctions

At the end of the longest year in history (2020) Scott and I began coming up with ideas on how to give back to the community and start cheering people up all at the same time. From there the idea of monthly charity auctions was born…

In our first month we truly had no idea what to do or what to expect overall. We had a lot of great ideas but knew the execution was going to be new to us. We chose some of the best items we had in the shop as well as some generous donations we got and began to plan. We reached out to a great friend of the shop Alex Sakash and asked to use Conquering C.H.D., an organization close to him and his family for this first month's auction. That first auction we raised nearly $1,000 and knew the sky was the limit from there…

Shortly after the first auction we were so lucky to have grabbed the attention of some very generous friends in the community. Donations of high end collector plastic started coming into the shop with the hopes of raising even more money in the future auctions. In February's auction we were able to have Simon Lizotte with us. With his help we managed to raise over $2,000 for Feeding America!

The next month we had a great customer donate the whole night's items and requested we use an autism charity close to his family. That night we raised nearly $2,000 for the Organization of Autism Research.

In April we reached out to Throw Pink and had a really fun and successful event raising again just under $2,000!

This May we reached out to Clear Path for veterans New England and another successful night raising $1,300!

If you want to get involved in these auctions make sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram. You can reach out to me at the shop anytime if you would like to make a donation to a future auction. We will be sure to shout you out and thank you when your item goes up for bid! If you have any charity selection ideas I am all ears on that as well.
